Small Call Centers and Challenges Faced by Them
Call centers are basically chosen for outsourcing all customer related services of the business company to them. They must be well equipped with the entire infrastructure like computers, software and hardware, phones and net connectivity besides competent manpower to operate them so that they may effectively perform all the works and services according to the rules and tenets of the business company.
Small call centers are challenged to utilize the limited resources optimally and yet get the utmost customer satisfaction. There are a number of challenges which a small call center has to basically face. In fact smaller the number of employees in the call center greater will be the number of problems and challenges to be faced by it.
There are some Small Call Centers and Challenges Faced by Them are enumerated below:
- Small number of employees led everyone to be familiar with each other -- Although this may seem to be a benefit but this poses other problems like the agent getting overburdened with plenty of tasks. The other employee can easily notice the mediocrity among agents which may quickly spread the negativity among others.
- Limited scope of error-- the absenteeism or negligence of just a few employees can seriously dent the image of the call center and can cause irreparable loss.
- Variability in the standard to be matched and actual performance: -- very short number of employees makes it quite difficult to handle large number of calls which renders the call center is unable to meet the service agreement of the company.
- Limited options to transfer calls or call routing – small number of employees lead the call center r to have very limited option of call routing which is very essential for getting utmost customer satisfaction.
- Lack of Budgets and the financial expenditure-- In many cases, budgets of the small call center are limited and there is often a heavy entry price to obtain the latest technology.
Thus a small call center is troubled with loads of challenges and they affect the quality of the customer services eventually. There are some small call centers in Rajasthan which cater to the needs and requirements of local business company and yet provide quality services with proper mechanism and dexterity of competent staffs.
