The Fort remains open all day of the week from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. An entry fee of 10 rs. from Indians and 50 rs. from the foreigners is taken. However, for photography and videography you have to pay extra charges.

After you reach Amer, it is better that you hire a guide. You can go by foot or go on the top of the hill by the elephant ride. By walking it will take 15-20 mins the Amber fort.
