If sources are to be believed, a Cyclone named ‘Nilofar’ has been developed in the Arbian Sea. Rajasthan may face mild effect in different border districts like Barmer, Jalore and Jodhpur. According to a MeT official and Weather Reports Department, the fierce cyclone may arrive later this week.
The best part is that the cyclone ‘Nilofar’ is still away from Kutch, Gujarat. According to the weather report officials it is getting weak day by day and wind speed is getting low around 67 km per hour. MeT Chief Official, Mr B N Vishnoi has said that it is indeed good news. Indians are scared and still not over with “Hud-Hud” episode which generated in Bay of Bengal and had destroyed many places in Orissa and Andra Pradesh.
<palign=”justify”>Mr. Vishnoi added,“As per today’s speed, its arrival would be delayed from October 30-31 to November one as it is located at Kutch- Naliya, and it would likely to strike Rajasthan’s border districts of Barmer, Jalore and Jodhpur after November one”.
He continued saying, “There would likely to be a mild effect of Nilofar in Rajasthan, and there would be wind speed of 20 to 30 km accompanied with showers after November one”.
‘Nilofar’ has weakened and it could have damage crops like Bajra, Gawar, Moong cereal, and soya bean which were harvested and lying in the open field. Weather Report Department has already sent the warning to the farmers and asked them to take all the crops to the warehouse storage as early as possible.
