According to Statista, the domestic consumption of milled rice in 2021 in India was 103.5 million metric tonnes. With such a huge population dependent on rice the demand for rice is met through different types of rice. There are quite a few varieties of rice available in India. These rice differ from each other on the basis of their place of origin, their nutritional characteristics and their physical attributes as well.
