The admit card for the entrance exam is already released on 15 October 2017. The Indian Institute of Science conducts this national level scholarship exam which is known as Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. It is conducted to encourage the candidates to pursue their research career in the field of basic sciences. This program was initiated in the year 1999 which was funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Admit Card-

The admit card for the entrance exam has already been released online on the official website of the exam conducting authority. The admit card was released online on 15 October 2017. The candidates are required to download the admit card as it is considered as most important document to carry at the examination hall. Without an admit card, no candidate is allowed to appear in the KVPY entrance exam. The candidates are required to download the admit card from online portal only as no other mode is available to get the hall ticket.

Exam Pattern-

  • The entrance exam will held on 5 November 2017
  • The exam will start form 9.00 am to 12.30 pm for stream SA. For stream SB/SX, the exam will start from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
  • The entrance exam will be conducted in online mode only.
  • The duration of the entrance exam will be 3 hours
  • The medium of language of the question paper will be in English and Hindi both.
  • The entrance exam will be multiple choice questions based exam.
  • The question paper of the entrance exam will be divided in two parts namely- PART 1 and PART 2.
  • The question paper of the entrance exam will be of 100 marks.

PART-1

  • Section 1- Mathematics- It will contain 15 questions of 1 mark each
  • Section 2- Physics- It will contain 15 questions of 1 mark each
  • Section 3- Chemistry- It will contain 15 questions of 1 mark each
  • Section 4- Biology- It will contain 15 questions of 1 mark each

PART-2-

  • Section 1- Mathematics- It will contain 5 questions of 2 marks each
  • Section 2- Physics- It will contain 5 questions of 2 marks each
  • Section 3- Chemistry- It will contain 5 questions of 2 marks each
  • Section 4- Biology- It will contain 5 questions of 2 marks each

Result-

The result of the entrance exam is expected to be declared in the first week of December 2017. The result of the entrance exam will be declared on the official website of the exam conducting authority. The candidates can check their result of the entrance exam through online mode. The candidates can also take the print out of the result for the future use. The candidates will be shortlisted for the further process after declaration of the result.
